"Bringing the feel of New Orleans to Capitol Hill."

Welcome!

The Capitol Hillbillies perform in configurations of two to nine musicians. We present primitive New Orleans-style jazz and gospel, hot blues, early country, and jug band tunes along with an occasional rockabilly or Chicago blues.

Native to Capitol Hill but featuring some of the best improv players from the DC metro area, the band travels inside the beltway and beyond. In nice weather look for the rolling piano on the streets and corners of Capitol Hill.

We play dances and parties; festivals, banquets and balls; conferences; and tv and radio shows. Prices are flexible depending on personnel, location, and duration - we want to play for you!

The Capitol Hillbillies sponsor a jam every Sunday at 3 pm, weather permitting (over 64°F, no precipitation), in the double front garden of Riverby Books at 5th & East Capitol Streets on Capitol Hill.
